Dear Engl 217,

I had my first test of the semester. I was dreading the Calculus III test because math isn’t my strongest suit. I studied all weekend and did about fifty practice problems. I really wanted to do well on the test. One the test day, my professor made it so that the class could take the test any time of the day, at our convenience. I clearly wrote down my calculations and triple checked every single step. I was confident with my answers and I even finished half an hour early. I was dreading pressing submit because a part of me didn’t want to face the score. I told myself to count down to 10 and press the submit button. “3…2…1… Submit!” I checked my score and I had gotten a hundred, full score. Never in my life have I ever gotten anything over an eighty-five in math and I was in disbelief that I had scored a hundred, in Calculus III. I was overjoyed. It is really nice when your hard-work pays off.

Now onto English. I finalized the graphing calculator to be my object for the Technical Description assignment. The discussion posts of this week included brainstorming our ideas and creating an outline. These posts really helped me gather my ideas and figure out what I wanted to write for my draft. Professor Otte was generous enough to postpone the deadline for the draft by a few days and I really appreciated that gesture. I hope to write a good first draft and turn it in before deadline.

Until next time,

Teju
