Dear Engl 217,

I haven’t updated you about my life in over two weeks. I apologize. I had a Physics midterm and a Chemistry midterm. I scored an 89 on my Physics test and I was a little upset because it was not an A grade but I am determined to do better next time. However, I scored a 100 on my Chemistry test and I was elated! I hope to keep to keep up with my streak. I do have a Math test coming up this week and I am worried. Just because I did well last time does not mean I will do well in the next test too. What if that was just a stroke of luck? Math has never been my strongest suit. I shall keep studying for the next few days and give it my best. I realized something else last week. I absolutely hate writing lab reports. They are so long and redundant and don’t even correspond to the lessons we learn in class. I did say that I want to be a scientist but I might have to rethink my career choice if it involves writing long lab reports.

In English we are writing our Memos. This assignment is a group task and at first, I was worried about how it was going to work out. It was really confusing to organize a group chat and get everyone in the same platform but somehow we figured it out. My teammates are nice people. Both of them are studious and are actively involved in the process of writing the Memo. We had an outline due last week and I think we have a clear idea of where we are going with our assignment. We have decided to tackle the issue of fewer parking places in New York City. Our first draft is due on Monday and hopefully we are able to turn in a strong draft.
