Dear Engl 217,

This week started terribly. I failed my Chemistry test and my Math test. I was really bummed out. But then I realized that my lowest test grade in Chemistry will be dropped and my Math homework serves as an extra credit worth 10% of my grade. This means that I still have a chance to bring up my grades in both my classes. I have a Physics test on Monday and I have to ace the test because unlike other classes, I do not have a chance to redeem myself in that class. Unfortunately, Physics is my weakest link so I dedicated all weekend to study for it. I had a good feeling about the practice test so I hope that the real test is also similar to that. I had a chance to visit the CCNY campus this week. I was invited for a research experiment and I was so excited to be there. The buildings and the lawns are just so pretty I relished it so much. I truly hope to have in person classes and be on campus this upcoming fall.

Prof. returned our Memo grades and turns out my group got an A grade and I was excited. He also gave us a lot of constructive criticism and I hope to use that advice to write a better lab report. On that note, we started writing out lab reports! My topic is “Assessing the spread of Covid-19 in the US and ways to stop it.” I think it is a pretty cool topic and I believe that everyone can learn more about the pandemic and the reasons why we are in the current situation. The assignment’s outline and first draft were due this week and I have a pretty good structure so far. I am not sure about my abstract and I intend to visit the writing center about it. I also might attend office hours with Prof. to gain more clarity on how to integrate sources.

Until next week,

Teju
